New York City, NY – The legendary Hip Hop DJ, Radio Personality and now Event Producer, Kool DJ Red Alert is set to launch a new event series with Sheana Stokes, CEO of Shhhh Life at Shhhh World Inc. and Shams Dabaron, CEO of Lionfox Ventures in Harlem called “Let’s Connect - A Biz w/ Pleasure Networking Experience”. The event series will take place the first Thursday of each month starting on July 6th 2017 at Mist Harlem, located at 46 W 116th Street. Presented by City National Bank, a Black owned and operated financial institution with a branch in Harlem, Let’s Connect will connect professionals, entrepreneurs and cultural influencers in a sleek and cozy atmosphere where they can meet and greet other movers and shakers, and learn from thought leaders and influencers while dining and dancing.
“I decided to produce this event and use my brand to bring people together for a positive and productive experience”, says Red Alert. “By partnering with Shhhh Life, Lionfox and MIST,” he continues, “I’m able to connect people in a great space and allow them to meet, greet, dance, drink and eat while networking and enjoying themselves. The support of City National Bank allows us to present a great event but at the same time give people the ability to learn more about a great Black owned financial institution located right here in Harlem and establish their own bank accounts and take advantage of what they have to offer.”
Let’s Connect will kick off at 5:00 PM with DJ Taela Naomi, crowned “Best Uptown DJ” after winning the prestigious Uptown Battle of the Bars competition. At 7:00 PM, the event will showcase a segment called “Harlem BizTalks” which will feature a Guest Influencer in the areas of entertainment, finance, and business. The first Guest Influencer will be “Uncle” Ralph McDaniels, the Hip Hop Icon, who established Video Music Box, the longest running TV series showcasing Hip Hop and R&B music videos. Now co-producing the movie “Roxanne Roxanne” a Bio Pic based on the life of rapper Roxanne Shante, Ralph will speak on “Video Music Box Live - True Stories.” At 8:00 the Koolest Legend, DJ Red Alert, will provide the musical soundtrack that will allow everyone to continue networking while having a good time. Promising to give attendees a night to remember every first Thursday, Red Alert says simply, “bring your business cards by all means, but be prepared to have the time of your life.”
