Finding an apartment in the city is harder than finding a job. Renters are forced into look renting rooms because of the long process it takes to find a decent apartment. Between trying to avoid outlandish apartment application fees and locating the nearest public transportation, renters are struggling with finding the perfect apartment. Luckily, there is an app that will help ease your apartment search from the convenience of your smart phone.
Rad Pad, a free apartment rental app, offers a useful way for renters to search and rent through the apartment listings, as well as, desired demographics such as age. Earlier this week, Rad Pad launched a new pay service that will allow renters to pay their rent through the app even if the landlords are not registered with Rad Pad. The payment made through Rad Pad will get directly to the landlord. The payment is made through the app and the payment gets sent directly to the landlord based on the information provided by the renter. A fee of $4.95 debit card will get charged. Users that enjoy swiping their American Express cards will have to pay 3.25% of their monthly rent. The founder of the app, Jonathan Eppers, wouldn’t apply such a high percentage but it matches their competitor (Venmo), which provides the lowest in the industry. This service will create renter profiles for the landlord or broker to use for selecting their future tenants.
I believe Rad Pad renter profiles offers a relief to serious renters in the city. It can be hard for any renter to survive in this economy but we all make the rent is the first bill paid. The app surely helps the landlord or brokers filter leases by demographics of gender or age, even credit score, which is done on your application anyway. Landlords will no longer have to pay for leads and they will only have to pay the leads that match their desired criteria, which get their response to the renter quickly.
Using Rad Pad cuts the rental process in half. The renter will only need to pay a one-time free to apply to as many apartments as they would like to explore. The landlord and the renter can both filter their needs to their wanted living space with just a touch of a button. This eliminates the uncomfortable apartment interviews while cutting the cost of paying for tons of apartment applications. What seals you into continuing to use the of the app, is the potential Eppers secures a contract to an opt-in service provided by credit agencies which will can help increase your credit score through your rental history
