Do You Hulu?

Hulu.com, the free online video streaming advantage. No it’s not the latest dance craze; it’s a gratis way to get premium television online with Hulu.com. Remember the yesteryears when television was free? The most anyone had to do was buy a television set, an antenna for reception and with a turn of a knob or press of a remote we were connected in the privacy of our homes by our favorite TV shows.

Now let’s morph to the future of broadcasting where television network companies have teamed up with cable and satellite companies to introduce to the masses, a pay per- view way to get access to multiple networks through multiple channels. This service would enable the viewer to enjoy programs from all over the U.S. & foreign countries.

Internet online technology has now brought TV viewing to another plateau making it possible to watch TV on our computers, phones, I pads, even in our cars at anytime and anyplace. One such company that provides this technology is Hulu.com, an online video streaming destination that provides the maximum in home or away television entertainment.

Hulu.com was created in March of 2007 from a venture between NBC-Universal and News Corporation which houses Fox Network. It was ultimately launched in 2008 to offer a variety of TV shows, clips, movies and more all for no fee online. (Brian Stelter, ny.times/Business Day 2013).

Hulu.com is solely supported by its thousands of advertiser commercials and its subscriber base for Hulu Plus, a division of Hulu.com that allows subscribers access to current season episodes of popular television shows in just a few hours of their actual broadcast, and Hulu.com original series and movies all for a mere $7.99 per month.

Compared to cable and satellite prices that are a pretty penny, Hulu.com has become one of the more popular online video streaming sites and is slowly inching out companies like Netflix and Amazon.com because of its extensive partnerships with over 400 partners providing video content to Hulu.com for streaming, as well as few major league film makers.
